Stay away from bearshare, that's the worst of the bunch in regards to spyware and malicious coding, it takes about an hour to clean it off your pc. I had it, along with limewire for awhile and they both crashed my pc and I live on my computer, so I can't afford downtime. Your best bet, I don't know what your expenses are, is to get a premium account with rapidshare. I use this in conjunction with paypal and pay for mine, the cheapest mp3 album's I have purchased range from 75 cents to 3 bucks. I'd give you the site I use, but I don't think you'd understand Russian. There may be others, if you did some research, like google or altavista. Whatever you choose, good luck. I love my music, but I love my right to download even more. In the past 3 months, I bought 15 cds for less than 30 bucks- worth every penny; artists and bands I normally wouldn't find anywhere else- the european ones especially.

No. Free music is illegal. Are you that poor not to pay .$99 per song? Shareware is Limewire and shareware usually always leads to problems like virusus, spyware and other stuff. iTunes is the way to go.

BitTorrent (it is used differently than limewire, you have to go to a website like mininova to find the torrent files)
