my daugter is very healthy and very chubby, she is soiling many diapers a day.
She is three months old and has recently started eating half as much as before.
I am not worried, because she is not even fussy, still very content. but wondering if this happened to anyone else?

it was really easy to tell she was eating less, my breasts were still full after she was finished.

She did go through her growth spurt, which happens at 3 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months, and 6 months but it just seems like she is eating less than before.

Im not being totally honest though, even though I know that it is probably fine, the irrational worried mother side is worried so I just wanted to hear that other poeple went through this too.

How do you know that she is eating half as much as before? Are you pumping milk into a bottle and measuring it? If not, it could be that she is just eating faster. The older that babies get, the better they get at nursing, so it doesn't take them as long to nurse as before. When my daughter was born, I would nurse her for like 30-40 minutes. But now that she is 10 months old, she nurses in less than 10 usually. ALso, as long as she is gaining weight at a good pace and the doctor is not concerned, than she is fine. She'll let you know when she is hungry and when she's had enough.

My daughter went through a stage when she wasn't eating the same amount and it was around the same age. It didn't last very long and she went back to eating more. Sometimes now she will go through little times when she is more interested in eating other things and won't nurse has much then the next week she will wanna nurse alot and not be interested in any other food at all.

I have an 11 week old baby and it's the same thing with her. She used to eat every 3 hours, now it's more like every 5 hours. Now that she's sleeping through the nite, my breast are pretty engorged when I feed her first thing in the morning, so she may be getting milk more quickly now.

She probably went thru a growth spurt recently and that is why she used to eat more. Now that she is not eating as much she is probably finished with the growth spurt.

My kids used to go on nursing strikes whenever they were teething, had ear infections, or were feeling generally "off." They'd completely STOP eating, sometimes for days. And the pediatrician tells me that's completely normal, as is a reduction in appetite.

As long as she continues to gain weight and interact with you, she's fine.

Yes it is normal, her little stomach has gotten bigger, and her food is lasting longer. Be thankful that your not having to nurse as often. Mine is two and a half months and still eats every two hours.

She may be becoming more efficient at extracting the milk.
Keep an eye on her output. As long as she is having wet/dirty diapers and gaining weight, she's probably fine.

No problem. This is normal...growing occurs in spurts. She's not in a spurt.
