I have an '85 Chrysler Fifth Avenue with 65,000 miles (which is why I haven't replaced it). Electrical system is working well after replacing battery, starter and alternator over the last few years. On occasion (usually when it's warm outside), I am not able to start my car. The engine will start to turn over but won't connect. After sitting for an hour it will typically start up without a problem What could be causing this?

It could also caused by the temperature surrounding outside the car because some cars work only at a certain temperature/Or there has been a lose connection between the engine and the battery check the agent to see any errors in your car. /the engine could be frozen.

Do you hit the gas when you start your car? If you do, you could be flooding the engine, and that is why an hour or so later the car starts just fine.
