A wink is done voluntarily with one eyelid closing usually in kind to acknowledge another individual, or flirtatiously. A blink is done involuntarily with both eyelids closing in unison, but very rapidly, an auto-response of the eye to lubricate it with a film of moisture so it doesn’t dry out.

winks are usually from the left or right eye only. (not both).
A blink is usually completed by both eyes closing and opening within a very short time span. They are both: involuntary or voluntary.
a wink is voluntary and is not involuntary performed by the eye.
(I think).

a wink is voluntary, a blink is a body function that is involuntary. you could not go all day long without blinking, or your eyes would dry out and look like a raisin. get it?
