250

The price I've heard quoted over and over has been $250. Nintendo made many, many more. A few million vs Sony's half a million or so. Given the price being less than half, the supply, (I've also heard they'll restock the Wii before Christmas) and the far greater demand for the PS3.. I wouldn't expect to see nearly that kind of inflated prices you're seeing for a PS3 on eBay or what-have-you.

I think $350 is pretty close to the absolute limit anyone will pay for a Wii.

Recommended price is $249.99 plus tax, but with the ruckus that resulted in the opening for the PS3 this may change.

Some PS3's were being resold at as much as 2 grand the last time I checked, which is 4 times the retail value of $500 or $600, so the Wii may see a similar response or store owners may jack up the price...

Nintendo reported it will sell for $250 in the U.S. (plus tax depending on your state tax)

It is using similar pricing across major markets such as in Japan and EU. It is obviously most expensive in EU. Cheapest in Japan -- on a dollar-based foreign exchange conversion basis.

One hundred and seventy-nine pounds sterling is the going rate here in the UK.

my guess is five hundred. because the ps3 is 600 and nintendo wants more buyers so they will sell their system cheaper.
