My ex-girlfriend's ex-boyfriend is being charged for beating her back when i was dating her. Now since he's going to court, he's saying that I was cooperating with him. Him and his friends are claiming that I helped him in the process. I've never seen this guy, but now my ex's lawyers are looking into this. If I have never even met this guy or even talked to him, would I have anything to worry about.

But the funny thing is, it seems like the laywers are doing all the investigating. And I just hear all the details of my ex, so I don't know if she's playing me or not. I would have assumed that some sort of professional would have contacted me by now.

I do not understand why your ex would have an attorney. Whoever beat this girl should have been arrested immediately. When this guy goes to court he will be punished and more than likely have to pay her for medical bills, missed work, etc etc. The prosecutor will handle all of this.
I think someone is messing with your head! The police would have already confronted you if you were suspected of being involved. Are you sure that this girl is not trying to get back with you? Maybe she feels that if she scares you enough, you will get back with her so she will call off her attorneys.
If you are still worried, ask for the attorney's name, and call to see if she has retained their services. Just say that you were considering hiring them, but they may be representing your accuser. Don't worry too much. If she really thought that you were involved, why is she still in contact with you?

I would discuss this with a lawyer, and if you get questioned by the police or prosecutors, don't say anything without a lawyer present. That goes for anyone, anytime, many innocent people are in prison because they thought they didn't have anything to worry about, when your being suspected of a crime, any crime, you always have something to worry about.

It comes down to his (or their) word against yours. Unless you can back up your story with proof that they cannot contradict.

If you are (or think you might be) charged by the police with being an accomplice, you might want to start trying to find an attorney.

I would get information and be ready to disprove this.
Lawyers are dirtist, evilist, most corupt, individauls on earth (even worase than muslims) and they will caugh up any story to frame anyone for bucks.
