i bought one with this baby because the pregnancy before this one i lost at 10 weeks so i was very worried. I thought bebe sounds sucked it's too muffled i could hear the same thing on my arm as my belly. I always had to guess if it was really the baby or not. I sold mine at a yard sell. It caused me to worry more when i could not find a heartbeat. It works best at 6-7 months and at 6-7 months you know the baby's okay you REALLY feel kicks by then. I was not pleased with mine just my experience. also it required a SILENT ROOM with two kids already and living in the city i had no room quite enough.

I LOVE my fetal doppler. I had a bunch of friends who couldn't ever hear anything on their's but they got it at some retail store for around 50 bucks or something. I miscarried my first time so I bought a rather hi-end HI BEBE fetal doppler-I think it was 200 dollars or so, BUT I was able to hear the baby's heartbeat at 9 weeks (and my own which caused me a scare-if you hear a heartrate below 100 or so that is YOUR heartbeat, keep looking for the baby's) and now I'm at 21 and I barely have to even set the doppler on my skin before I can hear a loud and clear heartbeat of my baby girl.

How many weeks are you? I have not seen these fetal monitors, but
I am a nurse, and I must tell you, it is often difficult to hear the fetal heart tones...especialy for a lay person. It is very easy to hear the MOTHER'S HEART instead. Best to just let your doctor check the baby's heart at your appointments. If you are over 20 weeks you should feel the baby moving regularly. It is good that you are concerned about your baby ...just get good prenatal care and follow doctor's advice.

I am pregnant with my third child, and I had one with my first, but couldn't really hear too much of the baby, just my own sounds. I asked a question about a month ago about them, and everyone said that theirs didn't work. But if it makes you feel better, and if you are one of the lucky ones whom can hear your baby with one, then keep using it. It won't hurt the baby. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

I didn't find it to work very well. No matter where it is, it almost always picks up the mother's heartbeat. Count the number of beats, if there are more than at least 130 than you're hearing the baby, if not it is you.

My chum loaned me hers on the initiating of my being pregnant. I in no way might desire to pay attention something, yet i assumed in line with threat my toddler became into too small nevertheless. i'm now 28 weeks alongside and that i nevertheless do no longer pay attention something with it. i think of that's only no longer an exceedingly precise gadget. i does not problem approximately it harming your toddler the two; that's basically a microphone you place on your abdomen, in spite of everything.

I bought one with my first pregnancy and thought that it was okay. It picks up every little move that is made from you breathing to the baby. It was kinda hard at first to distinguish what was the baby and what me. Keep using it that way you know what is going on and can distinguish what is what. Good Luck!!!!!!

It picks up too many noises. So you have to wait for you food to digest etc. I know sometimes I would pick up my own heartbeat which made it difficult to hear hers. It was neat to have though.
