Unfortunately, this has happened to me a lot throughout my life, then i had to wise up about it. Now my motto is: "Don't mistake my kindness for weakness!"

No, I don't find that to be true. I find that the nicer I am, the nicer they are back. I believe that most people are tender-hearted, and only occasionally will someone take advantage of kindness. I'm not naive about it - I don't loan crack addicts money, but kindness is something that we need more of, and doesn't have to be anything more than a word, a smile, a small helping hand. I'm a cynic, so I would notice if it was otherwise. Too many times people only notice the negative.

It will happen. Just be careful. Some will take advantage. You have to know when to say no.

Yea that is sooo true. But all your good deads will not go unrewarded one day! All those mean people that take advantage will get what they deserve (karma)

YES..... I'm nice to people who isn't a good friend but yet I buy whatever they want....people walks on me a lot my other friends tells me I need to stop being so nice cuz that will happen; you get used....so it's true.

Yes. When I was younger this happened to me a lot. People thought that because I was kind, I was weak.

Yes. I've let people hold my pens in school and I barely to never get them back. I don't have any enemies at all and pretty much no one knows me.

Kindness is mistaken for weakness and the predators see that.
We just need to learn to recognize them for what they are and gravitate toward the other nice people

Yes you are so right.This happens most of the time but it won't change me.I think things come back to you.So if you do good you will receive good eventually.
