My wife uses a calcium supplement that works awesomely! You need to have a calcium that is actually usable to the body and it helps to have magnesium and potassium with it because your body needs those to utilize the calcium. Most off the shelf or even health food store calcium supplements, even the expensive ones, are not that good. By not good, I mean your body is not able to use most the calcium in them - you just pee it out. Here is the supplement she uses below and info:

Bio-CMP is a combination of calcium, magnesium and potassium in the form of easily absorbed gluconates and chlorides.

For acute muscle or menstrual cramps, we prefer to use four tablets of Bio-CMP when the cramps begin and then three tablets per hour for up to four hours until the cramps are relieved.

This product is specific for electrolyte nutrition for all muscles of the body.

This definitely should help unless you have another underlying problem.
