It depends why you think High School life is difficult. For me, college was much better. Kids in High School are so immature and cruel. College students are there because they WANT to be there, so they are more mature, and in my opinion, that makes them better friends.

It all depends on how outgoing you are. If you are relativly shy then finding friends in college can be rather difficult. Best thing to do is to join clubs or social organizations in college. Also I would live in the dorms for at least the first year to get to know some people. 90% of the friends you will make you will meet them Freshman year in college so being in the dorms that year is in important.
As far as quality goes it all depends I guess. In college people tend to be more laid back and accepting of others. It's definatly not a fashion show or popularity contest in college. It's more about having fun and being independent. College is what you make of it for the most part, and if you want to be around party friends go to partys, if you want to be around an educational atmosphere then find those types of people. It's all up to you.

College life is better. You will most likely be around people that are interested in the same things that you are. The classes may be harder than high school, but you will do better because you are p[aying for them and you care more. Youmake your own decisions and you run your life for the most part-- hopefully you will make good decisions that will benefit your future. You will definately make good friends...better though im not sure. I ama college freshman and i def. have great friends back home. But it is true that you make your very best and true frinds in college. Good luck and make sure you take high school seriously! You'll get through it, trust me!

For me, college was much better than high school. In college, it's easier to find like-minded friends and people aren't so cliquey and judgemental. People value you for who you are in college. Get involved with campus activities that interest you. Live with other people - either within the greek system or in the dorms. Eventually you will find your niche and the kinds of people that are more like you.

Yes. People in college tend to be smarter and more accepting - if you avoid frats and sororities, they're still stuck in high school.

People who go to college are much more likely to grow up and stop judging people. I made many good friends in college; not so much in high school.
