it is most definitely not ethical. it is scandalous. now, are you aware that much of the stuff aimed at gr6 gr7 is actually aimed at mainstream consumer. that is the age that business considers most readers of advertising to be.
brainwashing techniques by contually repeating ads is not ethical either. I wonder how much of what we consider necessary for life and happiness is advertising generated. it is dictating what we need and want.

Advertising is directed at the five year old in all of us.
Is it ethical? Not really. But we all do the same thing.
We point our advertising in the direction that is most effective.
