My back has SERIOUSLY been killing me since I have been pregnant. When I sneeze, cough, or even laugh real hard I get sharp intense pains driving up my back! Are there any ways to help the pain (other than pain relievers) that are pregnancy safe. Maybe a little excersize or ANYTHING really, but it has just gotten really bad and I am only 21 weeks! Please HELP!!!

I had a similar problem. She was sitting on my sciatic nerve. I tried massage, warm bathes, stretches, NOTHING HELPED!!! If she is sitting on a nerve theres nothing you can really do to get her to move but deliver.

My doctor told me that I could take tylenol pm which really helped to relieve my pain...but don't take it more than twice a day...and try for only once. Also try to find pregnancy massages. They are a little pricey but THEY REALLY WORK VERY WELL. Try and get a pregnancy pillow for when you sleep, it will help you to support your back reducing the pain during the day. I used to take a tylenol pm before bed and sleep with the pillow and it reduced my back pain tremendously. Good luck ..I know how bad it hurts....I hope this helps!

The baby may be lying on a nerve, but call your doctor. If you speak to your doctor it will releive some of the worries you have.
