I've lost my mucous plug, I'm at least 2 cm and 50% effaced. Baby's in position.

Last night I thought my water broke, but I don't think it did... I'm not sure what to look for! I was going pee and all of a sudden, I thought I was through, but a big gush came out and it kind of hurt, but then no more since then, just a bunch of crampy feelings and contractions, and some low back pain. I think maybe the baby kicked while I was going??

What does it feel like when water breaks?

And, since this happened last night (about midnight thirty) and it's around 4 pm now, I'm probably not in labor yet right?

I have a doc's appt on Monday morning...

it could have been your water..... possibly could have been the baby did kick best way to know is to call your doctor or l&d and ask advice i know babies should be delivered after the water breaks if your water did break and labor did not start you need seen your baby is at risk of infection with no more water. Just get it checked can't hurt but letting it go could stress the baby if indeed the water broke. labor should start after the break there are times when it don't.

Just to be on the safe side you should probably go get checked out. There is a doc on call and they can check and then let you know from there. Don't be embarrassed because you are not sure. It happens differently for different people. You are at you r due date anyway so even if you went in they may even induce you since your forty weeks and having low back pains. To be on the safe side I would just go ahead and get checked. The worst they can tel you is that your not in labor and send you home but if that was your water breaking then you aren't suppose to go for more then 12 hours after your water breaks, it is not good for the baby and you may end up having a DRY birth. They say it hurts like 50 times worst then plain normal labor. Please just go get checked. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!

Your contractions would be getting more and more painful if you were in labor. When my water broke it felt like a pop down there and then just gushes of clear liquid came out and it wouldn't stop until I got to the hospital. I had thought my water had broken in the shower a day before but it turned out I just peed in the shower :p

Good luck!

I think your water broke. It can come out in a gush or in a small trickle. I think you may want to go to the hospital. sounds like you are in the start of labor. Good luck!

PS: It is now two days after I answered the above. Is that baby here yet? And, what did you have?

i would call the doc right now just to make sure!!because the babys head can act like a plug and stop the water from coming out in huge gushes!it can be a long time from the time your water breaks til you deliver so i wouldnt take any chances!plus the longer it takes for you to deliver once your water breaks the higher risk you have for infection!!so call the doc and maybe youll be having that kid tonight!!!

It should feel like that but you should have some blood also. You very well may be in labor I was about 4 cm before I realized I was. My contractions weren't painful until I was about6 or 7.

If your water broke you would continue to at least have a trickle because your body continual produces it. If you are in doubt go to the hospital because once your water breaks you need to have the baby with in 12-24 hours because of the risk of infection.

Okay...this sounds like exactly what happened to me. I think that you are in labor. I really think that you should get to the hospital because if it was your water bag that broke, then you need to get to the hospital asap...b/c if to long in the womb with the water bag broken...it can cause damage...i forget how..I jsut remember that it is dangerous...and if your waterbag broke all at once then you probably wouldn't have anthing else....Please let me know what happens and Good Luck to you.

What makes you think of you're meant to offer beginning on your due date? that's basically a reliable wager for the advent of the baby. My daughter-in-regulation became into extraordinarily much 2 weeks previous due. take a seat returned and loosen up. quickly sufficient you would be wishing you had time to achieve this.

Are you leaking amniotic fluid? Sometimes, you won't go into labor immediately after your water breaks, you should go to the hospital and have them check to make sure. You could be risking infection and should deliver within 24 hours.
