It all depends on the games. Nintendo makes really fun games, do you have the DS? I'm hooked on their New Super Mario Bros and Mario Kart DS. A big part of the fun factor is from online "party" mode, and the Wii will have wireless connections just like the DS. So, Wii + DS = WiiDS ~ Nintendo is certainly trying to get us all hooked like crack addicts! :D LOL. Seriously though, the games! Many 3rd party developers and publishers have already expressed interests in the Wii-mote, the new interface is just so cool, all the creative minds out there are eager to make games for it! Also, development cost for the Wii is at least half as expensive as that for PS3! If the Wii sells well this X'mas, all the 3rd parties will jump in, and hopefully, we'll see lots of creative games on the Wii, versus boring port over titles and FPS sequels on the PS3 and XB360. BTW, did you know that Nintendo is still the most profitable video game company?
Of course, if u are into the top of the line, FPS, RPG... then u'll have to go with the PS3. Sony spent so much money to create this monster! I won't be surprised that 3 years from now, PS3 games will be so impressively beautiful looking, it will dominate the market again.
Me? Man, I used to be a hardcore gamer, but now I'm 30 and busy with work... and games just seem to be more of the same nowadys... :( However, I'll still buy them all. I have the XBox, PS2, Gamecube. I'll probably get the Wii before X'mas to play Zelda. When Metal Gear Solid 4 comes out on the PS3, I'll get the PS3. Like I said, it's all about which game you want to play!

It depends on what kind of games you play. I played the PS3 at E3 06 and didn't think it was very different from the PS2. The Wii is an amazing experience. Xbox 360 however has a wide variety of great games. If you have the money for a PS3, you should buy a Wii and a xbox 360.

If you remember back when the 360 came out it had a 50% failure rate. Since then most of the 360 problems have been solved. I personally think the PS3 will have a higher failure rate. And its extremely over priced. AND it doesn't vibrate >_< If I was you I would go with the Wii or the 360. I would go with the 360 first because it will be a lot easier to find. Although if you have money to blow I recommend going on E-bay and getting a Wii. Or you can just wait till its easier to find.

It really depends a lot on what you value in your purchace. If money and time are no object and graphics and proformance critical, get the PS3.
If you can't quite afford it or don't have time to hang around a store for days, but are still craving that 'hardcore' gaming experince, pick up a 360. It's cheaper and no problem to get one. I think XBox is going to get it's butt handed to it by Sony, so I wouldn't count on a huge library of games in the future.
But I loath XBox and am simply not willing to pay prices like 600 and 85. So I'm getting a Wii. I'll get a PS3 when it's priced in a sane range. Nintendo is easily enough fun to hold me over.

360 has a head start but is not well regarded overseas. PS3 is highly priced and will likely have glitches. Wii is coming off the heels of nintendo's DS (The fastest selling console of all time, 29 million units in 2 years). Nintendo has momentum, a lower price point, ease of development, and the inside track with parents because of its lower selling point. Sega seems to have aligned themselves more with nintendo and the more casual gamer is going to send Nintendo's sales through the roof. Get the Wii.

If you do not have an HD TV then what is the point of getting an HD system. You will only get DVD qualty out of the system but will pay for a HD system. The X box 360 is cheaper than ps3 but then again most xbox games are released fore PC. then I personaly don't like shooter games on conventional controlers I like the pc controls I think that the wii-mote might work better for first person shooters but thats just me. If you have the money and the HD TV and like RPGs and are confortable with traditional controls for shooter then the PS3 if you like multiplayer online games like halo then definatly x box 360. I will get the Wii so my oppinion is byas

I was wondering the same thing i bought 2 PS3 and 3 Nintendo Wii, and i was into selling all the units. Now i feel like i dont want to sale 1 of each. Let me tell you the PS3 is off-d-chain, and the Wii i belive is going to be cool cause of the controller and stuff. But like i have been playing one of the PS3 on my HD Projector, expand to 90(width)X73(Hight) everything looks great, and feel great. I belive that the price is pretty much fair do for its image, Blu-Ray DVD player that is not cheap ($1000), plus can use it like a computer browser with lots of storage space. The NBA 2007 sport games is awsome and the Resistance, fall of man.

If you are on a budget, you should definately go for the Wii because it is inexpensive and the games are cheap. As for the other two, I would say spring for the 360 since chances are, you can get it cheaper that the PS3 which I have seen selling for $1,200 on ebay.
