I am going to give you the same infomation I gave someone else with the same question last night. Here goes, only at the end, your colors will probably fall more into the "fall/spring" category. Stark whites and blacks will truly tell if you are a true winter/summer. You will probably want to follow the opposite color advice I gave her, but the test will work on anyone.
You are talking about the "colors" charts that were going around in the 90's. They do work and here is how. Stand in the daylight in front of a large mirror and several examples of colors of all types. Light and dark and bright (like torqoise) blues, greens (including the lime-types), reds, pinks, yellows, and especially don't forget stark black and white. That is one of the best tests.
Use shirts or sheets or whatever, it doesn't matter. Hold each one up under your face and you will very quickly see which colors and derivities of those colors you should wear and which ones to stay away from. The tan is going to fool you for other days when it is gone, so make sure you do it again without a tan when that day comes. You don't mention eye color.
I am going to hazard a guess that you are best in "winter or summer" colors and that the "fall and springs" are not good for you.
Winter/summer: black, white, navy blue, red, lime greens, bright green, "electric" blues and pinks, torquois, gray.
Stay away from corals, yellows, oranges, browns,
light greens, light pinks, any red that is not pure.
Think about the seasons and the colors that go with them. You will quickly know by testing them.
Trust your judgement.
