Let's put it this way, if you were not so young or I was not so old, I'd probably be one of the guys chasing you.
You are who you are. Wear what you like, like whatever colors you want, and just be yourself.
Don't worry about how people are gonna label you. So your a tomboy and you're still a girl and still care about how you look, that's o.k.
Walk tall but don't clomp on other people.

If you're happy with what you are doing, then continue doing so.
You and I are alike. Especially on the part of the seeing a girly girl and wanting to barf (not that extreme, but similar).
It might just be a transition and subconsciously you WANT to be girly but don't know how.. I know because I feel that way this year. Or maybe you want a certain person (a boy or someone else special) to notice a transition so that he (or whoever) will pay more attention to you.
This could also be from you wanting to make up or improve how you were before you fussed about how you looked. :) Hey, it could be a good thing, but as long as you are happy, and like I said earlier, go for it.

Whatever helps you to feel good about yourself is all that matters. How do you define a "girly girl" anyways?
If doing nails, and making your hair look good make you feel good then you should definitely do it ( I know it works for me!). Do it for yourself, though, and no one else. As far as the question of how you can stop worrying about the way you look, just forget about what other people think. It is a common misconception that beautiful girls aren't smart and things like "all she thinks about is how she looks." Not caring what other people think is an attractive trait.
So, do what you feel good doing, wear whatever colors make you feel beautiful, stop caring what other people think, and I think you will find that once you reach the level of total self acceptance others will notice it and will be drawn to you.
Good luck!!

There is nothing wrong with wanting to take care of yourself, but their is such a reason as overdoing it. Some of the things you do could be classified as girly painting nails, finding the right shades for your lips, and perfect hair? I am personally sick of society really expressing the "importance" of having that "perfect look". My advice to you: If you like doing the things your doing, thats cool, but DO NOT conform to this world and think you have to be perfect, b/c no one is perfect in any shape or form. Everyone is great how they are.

To be honest, most guys like femininity. I am speaking from a heterosexual guys perspective. Basically, since i am a guy and i am masculine, i find feminine traits attractive. Why do you look at being girly as such a negative thing? I think that girls are very capable, and if you can be "girly" and still have your own style and way about you, it would make you a well balanced and interesting girl. Be yourself, but dont be ashamed of what you are and how you feel.

Listen. Just forget about what everyone else thinks. You're worrying about nothing. If you are comfortable with your new found love for make-up then keep doing what you do. I had a bit of the same problem. I used to say that I would never wear make up and now I do, I'm definitely more obsesed about my looks but i still wouldn't consider myself to be girly. Its a 'normal' thing for girls to do.

That's just growing up and the way you are. I think it has something to do with hormones too. Girly people are cool too! Don't get lost in those stereotypes. I wear skirts, but I play volleyball and a lot of sports. As long as you like yourself and feel comfortable, who's stopping you? I don't see what's wrong with what you're doing as long as it's not going to plastic surgery or anything! Hope this helps!

It's a short live. What you are doing are natural. As long as you feel that makes your happier and you like to do it and it is all to yourself, just keep it as-is.
You are just growing up and be femine. I think it is great. Be young and be pretty, do the girly thing for once in your live. I will be yuck when you are all wrinkled and old and then you become girly.
Just sit back and enjoy what you feel like to do.

well there is nothing wrong with taking pride in good hygine or being well kempt, especially if you like it. But if you have big image insecurities, you might be having some image problems and my suggestion for that would be to work on other things in your life that make you feel proud and happy, whether it is your art, fitness, or in doing good deeds to others.
Don't worry about sterotypes or fitting into other peoples ideas of who you are. You are an individual.

haha!
no,you're not girly,
you're just acting the normal way a woman does.
You hate pink/light colours?
And you hate dresses?
You most certainly aren't a girly girl..
But if people start seeing a resemblance between you and Paris Hilton THEN you should be worried!lol!
