The americans would respect the UN when the UN respects the US . and i think they are pretty much useless in the world because they can deal with issues like Iran, North Korea, Darfur. So until they start doin their work to help the world then i think they will be. but in the mean time they wont.

We had a good relationship with the UN under Clinton. It wasn't until George W. Bush told the UN to go shove it that the relationship became rocky. I would say that when we get a new president, things will probably go back to the way they were.
