In the original storyline (ie. the comics) Lyonel was long out of the picture before Clark became Superman, Lana already knew his secret and not only kept it but married a football guy (Brad?) who was an alcoholic, and Chloe was never even heard of. But who should really not be in the picture?

Clark was NOT supposed to have met Jimmy until AFTER he went to work at the Daily Planet as a reporter - and Jimmy was assigned as his photo boy.

If I had to choose I would pick LANa Lang. Everyone knows that superman falls for Lois Lane eventually. Lana is really due to fade out. Though I do like her character.

as cool as John Glover is Lionel is due to die, if only because Lana has that effect on her Bf's Fathers.

i would be able to decide they all are vital right now...but i think they need to hurry up and tury lana bad...and jimmy needs to become the real jimmy. maybe i guess it is time to do away with chloe i mean shes never mentioned in the movies. and is she ever mentioned in the comics?

I think it was a mistake to kill off Jonathan because in the Lois & Clark series Jonathan is still alive. He was able to see Clark becoming Superman. I think none of them should leave.
