I thought the same thing. People have become intensely selfish over the last couple generations. It's really quite sad.

I generally agree with you, although I think people born in the 80s are a huge part of the problem as well (and I say this as someone born in 1981). These kids don't appear in a vacuum, though. In other words, a big part of the problem is parenting. Another problem is the influence of the media. We have held out people who were, at one point, a minority in the population, i.e. people who lead very different lives from everyone else--the glamorous, the rich, the unruly, the outlandish, the immoral--to the point where people now think they're normal and want to do everything they do. We have reached a point where we do not value morals and values, as well as education--we value entertainment and sexuality and value individualism to a point where we think it should mean being able to do 100% what we want to do with absolutely no boundaries. I absolutely see the US heading backwards. I do think we will lose our status as a superpower because I see so many of our nation's leaders already being incredibly immoral and/or incredibly unintelligent, just very undeserving of their positions...and the thing is that eventually these kind of people will be the majority in our society, such that we have no choice but to put those kind of people in office and to put the nation in their hands.

I thought it was absurd! I love video games too and have an x box and a Playstation 2 but I wouldn't pay $600. for a Playstation3 nor would I sleep outside the store for 3 days to get one. People have their priorities srewed up.

Yeah I totally agree with you, all of this violence just to get a new game system is ridiculous. I think what it really narrows down to, is people just needing to get their heads together, and quit all of this senseless immaturity. I mean, like you, i love video games, like playing them, like checking out the new cosoles, but theirs absolutely no reason to get that violent about it.

I think their violence may be training. Early trainging before basic training and shipping them to Iraq. They will get along fine there. Fact, let's pass a law you do ANY violence, then you are automatically drafted into military and shipped overseas!

Most of the people wanted to buy it so they could resell it. They'd pay $500 for it and then sell if for $2000. At least, that's what I heard. I wouldn't even pay the $500 for it, so I'm on your side.
