Mars:Olympus Mons

hmmm, I think I'd need to do some planet hopping first. Maybe spend a few weeks or months on each planet so I could make an informed decision. :) I'd like to try mercury first - because I want to see how much bigger the sun looks from there. Then I'd like to try Jupiter because I think the moon festivals would be awesome. I think Uranus would be the shortest trip - its too big, kinda reminds me of overcrowded cities. Pluto would definitely be a stop. Its be interesting to be on the edge of nothingness. (ok, I know Pluto is technically not a planet any more, but in my heart it will always be a planet in our solar system) But I have a sneaky feeling, after all my travelling, that I will still call Earth my home. Its where my friends and family are. :)

Olympus Mons (Latin, "Mount Olympus") is the tallest known volcano in our solar system, located on the planet Mars at approximately 18° N 133° W. Before space probes confirmed its identity as a mountain, Olympus Mons was known to astronomers as the albedo feature, Nix Olympica ("Snows of Olympus"); since the late 19th century, however it had been suspected that it was a lofty alpine region.[1]

Mars. The volcano is Olympus Mons which stands at over 15 miles high and several hundred miles wide. It is suspected to be extinct although this is by no means definite as we have only been observing Mars for a tiny fraction of it's life.
