Good idea on the older country. The only good country to me is the older material. Rascal Flatts is not country! Here are a few ideas, Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, The Highwaymen, Hank Williams 1,2 or 3, David Allen Coe, Patsy Cline, Dwight Yoakum, Lefty Frizzell, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty, Charlie Pride, Buck Owens, Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys, Kitty Wells.

I am learning the chords and singing Honky Tonk Angels by Kitty Wells. Also, love The Key's In the Mailbox (come on it) Not sure who recorded that. Ray Price's Heartaches by the number also, is great.
