Why and how males and females misunderstand each other?

People misunderstand because they don't take the time to truly understand. Most of us are just waiting until it is our turn to talk instead of actively listening (and observing) to what people are trying to tell us.

"Men Are From Mars - Women Are From Venus" is a good place to start, but it's simplified pop psychology. There are much better books out there.

Two that come to mind are "Standup Guy: Masculinity That Works" by Michael Segell and the unfortunately titled but absolutely OUTSTANDING book about communication between men and women, "All Men Are Jerks (Until Proven Otherwise)" by Daylle Deanna Schwartz.

Both go a long way toward explaining the complexities of each gender's perspective and why they do AND say the things they do and say.

One broad stroke - women try to figure ulterior motives in men's behavior, when there are only 3 or 4 functions for men:
1. Eat
2. Have sex
3. Watch sports
4. Sleep

On a more serious level,
Women tend to have more of a social network (Sex in the City, the Special K Commercial of the woman in red joining three friends for breakfast, the Lean Cuisine commercials are some of medias portrayal). You rarely see a group of guys getting together for breakfast unless it's a business or civic event. (The Hardee's commercial of men trying to make breakfast with the liner "Some guys would starve." is another media portrayal.)

Men are stupid dogs (and you can say it takes one to know one). Even after being in a monogamous relationship for 9 years, I threw it away because I got lonely, and craved some companionship.

I think there would be less war if women were in power, as men are territorial, and think nothing of throwing a punch if they feel threatened (and men in power, that punch is bombs).

I don't agree with the view that men are not able to multi-task, as I have to do that in my work daily. Maybe it could be viewed as such if you review what I said at the beginning, though.

There is a book called Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus. You should get it and read it. That will give you some understanding into the differences in the way the sexes think.

i would say, men and women both were created for different tasks and that is why they think differently.

women:love light colors love to stay clean love the arts and sensitive
men:the total opposite
woman:they're bodies are different. they're breast hurt sometime they get periods go through puberty before boys
men:the don't really change but get taller and bigger in some areas :)
so men don't understand the things women go through. and women are more mature i would say and kinda smarter not in school i mean in life. in school guys kick girls a s s but thats just what i think. neither understands what the other sex goes through
