I'm looking to buy a small aquarium shark and I'd like to know where I can buy one, for how much, what it takes to care for them, and what other species of fish they are good with.

You can easily find fresh water "sharks" at any retail pet store, and in a few different varieties. However, I strongly advise you check with a local fish store, b/c the fish will be less likely to have serious infections. A local fish store will be owned by some one who is passionate and knowledgeable about many different kinds of fish. Where as a large chain retailer may not have the same level of experienced employees taking care of their fish.
here is a copy and paste from a web site I listed below:
"Family: Cyprinidae
Range: Thailand
Size: Up to 4½ inches
Diet: Omnivore
Tank Set-up: Freshwater: Plants, rocks, driftwood
Tank Conditions: 72-79°F; pH 6.5-7.5; dH 10-15
Minimum Tank Capacity: 50 gallons
Light: Medium
Temperament: Semi-aggressive
Swimming Level: No specific level
Care Level: Moderate
Reproduction: Egg Layer "

I have a Dalmatian Mollie who purely had little ones the day handed by. All Mollies will breed with one yet another. it doesn't count number what form they're, in the journey that they look a Mollie they'll do it! Mollies are stay bearers. the mum will provide beginning to many tiny little little ones. Mine had about 40! also keep in mind that once a lady Mollie receives pregnant she remains pregnant for 6 months. After she has the little ones (after appx. a million month) she remains pregnant and may have extra little ones without breeding with a male. There are fertilized eggs interior of her which proceed to augment and he or she may have extra little ones by the 6 month era. also I have 2 bala sharks in my tank. those are preparation fish and favor to have a significant different so i might want to represent getting 2 once you're going to get a shark. they're a non aggressive fish. My tank is 100 gallons it really is larger than yours. I really does not placed that many fish contained in the tank. they're going to be overcrowded. I have 15 fish in my tank and do not plan on including any extra. desire this helped! =)
