For a filled glass tank, you're looking at about 600 pounds (without gravel and decorations, as well as any equipment you'll be hanging on it). Acrylic will weigh about 25 pounds less.

For the record, water weighs approximately 8 pounds per gallon.

Without precise information regarding what is in the aquarium it is difficult to come up with an accurate answer. How much water is in the aquarium, are there toys, stones, gravel, and fish in the aquarium? You can put the aquarium on a scale when it is full or weigh the contents seperately (including thre aquarium).

Well, One gallon of water weighs approximatly 8.5 lbs. So if you do the math, about 425 lbs. Then add fish gravel and decorations, it'll probably be a little heavier. Hope this helps!!

1 Gallons = 3.78 Litres.
1 Litre of water = 1 KG.
1 KG = 2.2 LBS
50 Gallons = 189 Litres ---> 189 KGs = 416 LBS.
Plus the tank itself, the gravel and all decorations, would be approximately 500LBS
