Many,
Within the south of England, are many. the most famous is Dover castle which has a dry moat and drawbridge at the constables tower.
Deal Castle, uilt in 1539, is a massive clover leaf design, with a deep dry moat around it.
Portchester, near Portsmouth is a Roman fort with a Norman Castle was built in one corner.
Leeds Castle, is one of the most beautiful castles in England and is often referred to as 'the loveliest castle in the World'. The original wooden castle was replaced by a fortified stone castle in 1119. An important feature of Leeds Castle is its access to the River Len - built by built on two adjacent islands. The name Leeds originates from the name of a chief minister of King Ethelbert IV ( 856-860) called Ledian ( it is not associated with the city of Leeds!)
Bodiam Castle is situated beside the River Rother in East Sussex and was built in the late 14th century by Sir Edward Dalyngrygge. With an almost square construction, Bodiam Castle has a notable symmetry and is surrounded by a wide moat. The moat was created from an artificial lake which, in turn, originated from allowing the river to flow into a rectangular area of marshy land.
Arundel Castle in West Sussex, and Dunster in Somerset (near minehead). to name but a few
