He has been appointed as Captain of Bengal Ranji Trophy Team. If he perform well in the ranji trophy matches, he may get a chance to play in the one day series with Sri Lanka and West Indies. If he performs well in those matches also, he will defenitely get a chance to plahy in the world cup. He is not going to get a chance bnased on his past glory. he has to prove to the selectors that he is still a good plahyer.

Yes he can come back into the team provided he has 2 perform well in the domestic n county cricket. If he works hard n scores consistently he will surely get a berth in the Indian team.
