Well it depends on if there is a attraction to the computer friends. Do you fantasize about them so on and so forth. I mean it is okay to have friends period, but are you seeing nudes of them etc

It depends. If you are just talking like in a forum like this, there's nothing wrong at all. If by chance your significant other is aware of you talking to others on the Internet and know them as well, no problem.

However, if you have not told your significant other, the people being spoken to have gained an emotional bond, you discuss things that should only be spoken to your spouse or other family member, if the conversation hovers around being in love or of a sexual nature... You could be cheating. It's called phone sex or emotional adultery.

Since your spouse did not know, discussing things that should only be talked about between family, you might be getting your gollies by talking to them (and the content is explicit), that's crossing the line big time.

as long as they are just friends and its clean yes. my bf and i had major problems over the internet but they were not keeping it clean. just a word of advice -- make sure you still have time for the other person in your life. it really hurts when someone spends more time talking to others online than they do with their own boy or girlfriend, wife, husband - whatever

I think that the best way to think about it is this. If your significant other read what you posted to your computer friends, would he be upset? If the answer is yes, then you probably need to re-evaluate what you are doing and why? If you are having needs that are not being met in your relationship, then maybe you are looking for them through the "safe" environment of the computer? Some things to think about. . .

Sounds like you are doing fine. Nothing wrong in making friends via cyber space. I gained one from this site and the emails flow constantly and I have fun.
Then again I spend time here for I just moved 400 miles and really haven't established new friends where I am now at.
That will change and I will spend less and less time here.

Do you share your "computer friends" with your other half?? No prob not, then yeah its wrong and its cheating. If its been thrown in your face that it was cheating you were prob. hiding your computer friends from your loved one. Anything you cant do or wont do with your spouse or sig. other then it is cheating.

I am a married man and I am chatting with a married woman who has no love or affection for her husband. It is a clean chat and I am helping her out with her problem. I consider this cheating because I can not tell my wife who will never accept it, even if it is for a good cause.

Friends are not cheating. They are Friends. It would be cheating if you cross that line and become romantically involved somehow.

Personally, I think it's still cheating. Because, you are "thinking" naughty thoughts, and you are "saying" naughty things to someone who isn't your man. I mean think about it. whatever it is that you're doing, if your man or woman did the same thing. would it bother you? Really answer it truthfully.
