We are very interested in finding out about the area of Hot Springs/Little Rock and a small town called Malvern. Being a Michigander, the warmer climate is most inviting, but we need more information about living there, community ammenities, resources, schools, etc. Thanks!

Hard to really say. Arkansas is more of a lied back State. A lot of retired people. It more of a Nature Lovers place. Lot of nice Lakes and Parks. There are things to do. Most large Concerts are in Little Rock and some along the Arkansas River. Hot Springs has the Horse Track and lakes close by. There is a lot to see from a nature point of view. There Blanchard Springs Caverns up North. I not going to say the Schools are the best in the country, but, where you looking to live I would say the schools will do well. Malvern is close to Little Rock and Hot Springs. Many towns have a Public Library. But, think more outdoor things to do. Buy a boat, Ha! I will try to get you a few links. Rent will probably seem cheaper here and buying a home maybe. If, you make good money, this a cheap place to live. The links will help I hope. You can email me if there something specific you need, not sure I can help, but, I can ask around.
Just get used to the Southern Drawl. A writing pen may be called a pin. And a Melton, is a Milton. Ha!!! Hope you have an easy name to pronounce or you be thinking you someone else.

That's a coincidence! My sister and brother in law are moving to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. They can't afford to live in southern California anymore and I don't blame them. It seems a very nice place....good luck in your research!
