Montel always admits he's quarter-racial. Why doesn't anyone else admit that their mixed?

Well, most mixed people live in predominantly black areas.....therefore, they want to fit in, and therefore, they say they're black.

I am mixed and I say that I am mixed with black and white. But if I had to choose one Id say that I am black because I look black. My brother on the other hand looks white and will still say hes black.

Because legally, they are black. If a survey asks you what your race is, then you would say black, even if you are only one-quarter black.

Just the way it is. I don't see what it has to do with admitting anything.

Perhaps because people who ARE biracial actually "look black" or have been told so, they will go for the group they feel most like in appearance and/or perception.

most people don't want to admit it cause they might be ashamed of whats in there background or some don't know what they r mixed with
