we've had at&t, sprint, cingular and verizon. it has been my experience that verizon has more towers thus better service.
actually price are comparable with cingular which i have now- but if i had to do over again i would have stayed with verizon, i had been with them for 6 years and never had any problems. i'm stuck now with cingular under contract thru a quad package they offered. when i called verizon to see if they would let me come back to my original service they refused.....SO.......if your looking for customer service you can forget that crap because none of these companies care---i had only transfered my service less than 60 days ago but verizon still treated me like a brand new customer . so go with the company that has the best line service for your area.

Their is no easy answer for your question. It depends on where you live and what modol phone you have. Verzion is supposed to be good, but in my area it has poor reception, even though it complety covers my area. Many people have verzion and love it, but for me it just didn't work. I wouldn't recommend getting a prepaid plan unless you plan to hardly use it. It will cost you more in the long run. Sometimes min expire after a month and you will lose all those min. Some are longer expiration dates. I would talk to freinds and family that have cell phones that live in your area and use that to help you make your decision. The modol of the phone is also important, or at least I find it an important factor. Cell phone carriers will tell you that it doesn't matter what modol phone you have as all phones recieve the same reception, but I beg to differ. When I had U.S. celluar I had a cheap phone that only cost $20. the reception was horrible. I got drop calls all the time. I then upgraded to a Razor phone, and love its reception. To be honest, I don't even remember the last time I got a drop call. Most cell phone carriers will give you 15-30 days to try out the service, if you don't like it you can cancle within this time period with no penaltys such as a cancleation fee. You are only billed a small portion of the min you actually used. I believe that their is actually a law that requires them to let you cancel within 30 days, but Im not 100% sure. I would ask the phone carrior what their policy is. Don't listen to what the sales people say or the phone carrior, as they will all tell you that their service is the best and the reception is great. Look at it this way, you get their service they get paid and that is what they want. You will probably get alot of answers for this question, but no one can give you a def answer becouse the phone works in their area and maybe it won't work in yours. The razor phones tend to give you a better receptions. The nokia also does, but its not as fancy. From experience the cheap mortarala phones give poor reception. You can also try ugraded phones during your trial period and see if the reception is any better. I woudn't get any off brands that aren't popular as they are not likely to give off a good signal. Also determain how much your going to use the phone and pick the plan that bests meets your needs. Look for special promotions. These are for a limited time and you only have so long before they take the plan away. Once you got a special promotion plan you have it for life, or until you cancle your service. I hope this has helped you.

Verison prompt is really reliable even as it is composed of provider and there phones are not too shabby both. I fantastically recomend staying away fromthe sameung glyde. I use T-Mobile, and let me tell you, it has to be one of the worst. I hardly ever have service, my calls are constantly dropped, they have the ugliest phones available. They never have the new ones when they first come out. I wouldn't recommend it at all. As soon as my contract is up, I'm switching.
