I have to spur thigh tortoises aged 18 months, do you have them in a vivarium with heat and UV lights? They love to eat cucumber, watercress, kurly kale, romain lettice. Natutal sunlight is also very important, put them in the garden in summer. Mine love to get out the cage and walk around the floor. Look up reptile shops in your area to find more info on tortoises or find some good websites.

They need uva ( 12 hs a day to live ), calcium is very important ,like vitamin "A".
Turtoise must to eat vegetables, snails, flowers, etc.
They need to be in land too, and don´t forget to put it in a hot place !
They get ill when you don´t give vitamins ,calcium, and uva!!
If they can be in the sun ....marvellous !!!
Try to go to a vet , becouse your tortoise need to be seein by an especialist....
...Sometimes they are ill, and people don´t know !
Please look for more information on the web to help your tortoise live!
Good luck !

have a look at the TORTOISETRUST website or the SHELLEDWARRIORS one, they are both very good, you should have found out how to look after it BEFORE you bought it.
90% of torts die within the first 5 years because people dont know how to look after them and yours should live well over 50 years maybe even to 80-90 years.

don't you think that a year after getting an animal is a bit late to be doing the research into how to care for it? You should have done it all a year BEFORE getting it.

It would take more than I want to write to totally answer this,so I linked a good care sheet above.

Tortoises are great pets, but they do better in a good outdoor pen than indoors. You need to make sure it gets the right heat, pen size, lighting, etc. as well as a good diet.
