The republicans and bush have screwed it so they couldn't do any worse. In fact the only way from here is up.

Spend the next two years lying, cheating, and doing everything they can to get a Dem elected President in 08, just like the Republicans did and will continue doing. The government is a big over-bloated band of thieves (as said above, it is the people, not the party),

Honest, hard working Americans cannot afford to run for office and win in this country without the lobbyists becoming attached to their jugular. If they make it to the Hill with good intentions, the good ole' boys club then beats em' into submission, to maintain the status quo and business as usual. Time for additional election reform and term limits? How do you get crooks to vote to lock themselves up?

I hope better. If you watched an interview yesterday on Fox News, there was a female political scientist that talked about why the US doesn't have a female Pres. She spelled out the words the duopoly can't stand to hear: it's the ELECTORAL SYSTEM'S FAULT!!! If we want our elections to improve, I'm praying for the Democrats to worry about electoral reform and serious issues too. I remember reading something in farivote.org that said Clinton worried about keeping our democracy young. Maybe if it hadn't been for that bloody Monica Lewinski, we'd have better elections now and a true democaracy!!

Not much will change. The government will still by run by those with the money to buy the politicians and the people will continue to be lied to. So long as we keep wasting time and energy with these dumb democrat/republican games we will never get to the real issues of a corrupt government run by theives.

They want to repeal the tax cuts. They will continue to undermine the war in Iraq and may cut funding, just like they did in Vietnam. In Vietnam, they shut things down so fast, the records of who had helped us were not destroyed so all those people were tortured and killed.

They will screw around with socializing medicine, which means that people will have to wait in line for treatment just like in England and Canada.

Mostly, there will be gridlock, not much can happen because it is so close to 50-50 and the President can veto things he objects to.

They will just continue the agenda of the republicans. Democrats are just one arm of a bigger body. NEW WORLD ORDER.

Raise taxes and create more programs and give aways to make people even MORE dependent on the government instead of learning to take care of themselves.

They can't do much worse than the Republicans have. I just don't understand why people don't realize that it's NOT a party, it's the PEOPLE!
