I did that once when I was younger, except I sent a letter. I got no reply, they wanted me to pay to join the fan club, then I would have got something with their autographs printed on it.

ALWAYS BEST TO GO TO CONCERTS / GIGS, WHATEVER AND GET THEM PERSONALLY.
THERE IS NOTHING LIKE THE REAL THING.
