By helping someone else. It takes your focus off yourself. Also, being active and getting outside of your mind (sports, volunteering...) puts you in the moment. "Greater good- how can I help make someone elses day/life better" thinking though really does help put things into perspective.

well that depends on what you mean on getting over your self if you mean that your not happy with your self maybe you need some help on sharing your feeling with other people i have noticed that a lot of people have trouble doing that and they just go crazy in there minds so talk to your friends and other people and have them help you.
