What flies are common in November in the UK?

Question

We are suffering small flies (about 5 mm in size) in our Kitchen, bathroom and now some in our bedroom.

Fly spray has killed some, but isnt doing the trick

Usually they have gone however it has not been cold enough to kill them off.It soon will then you can put your fly spray away &
have peace untill the summer comes.

We get a lot of those too. I think they are some kind of fruit fly as they are always around most when the apple tree is fruiting. I think it's the warm weather that's kept them around. If you have a compost heap they will come from that too. I've also got wine fermenting which doesn't help.
