I'm a bisexual woman, but I thought about it briefly, just because I'd love to be a bisexual guy. But it was very briefly, and the thought has passed- it isn't feasible, financially, emotionally, in any way, really. And I'm actually very happy to be in my female body, so it's not for me.
But many, many lesbians do transition or live as TG butches.

I know many that have. There is a difference between lesbian and transgender male though. Some trans men stay as women because the price, or ability to cope with just being a very 'butch' female. Some just go through part of the transition with just being on hormones, or just having top surgery. Where some need to go completely through transition to feel truely as they should.
That by no means makes any trans man a lesbian, or vice versa.

I have, and I am. I am currently almost 3 years in transition from female to male. Lived as a "soft butch lesbian" for years, although that's what everyone ELSE called me, I never called myself a lesbian. I've always seen myself as a straight male in my mind.
I started testosterone therapy in July of 2004. I pass 100% now, although some people still think I'm a gay man due to my stature and my voice hasn't dropped quite as deep as I'd like. However, whether a gay man or a straight man, at least they see me as a man which is what I've ultimately wanted.
Here's a cool website if you're curious about some other issues about female to male transsexuality...

Hope this helps!

Kinda. I started out pretending to be a straight male. Then I started to consider myself a lesbian transwoman. Now I just prefer queer genderqueer woman. I just decided to get away from the whole 2 gender system. I do plan on getting "the op."

I must be getting used to this question. I did not laugh out loud. My stock, standard answer is, "Why should I submit myself to such a limited, one eyed point of view."

you are confusing be homosexual with being transgendered. they are 2 different things. I have never wanted to have a sex change, nor has my partner.

uh, no. Just because I love women doesn't mean I want to be a man. I like being a woman.

Yes, and plenty have done it. Gender identity and sexual identity are two different things.
