I definitely agree with the user who mentioned Neil Diamond, that'll work. Others that come to mind include the following;
I'm Sorry by Brenda Lee ( I know it's an oldie, but it works! )
House of the Rising Sun by the Animals
Lady in Red by Chris DeBurgh
Hey you by Pink Floyd ( If that doesn't do it, then something's wrong. )
Love Hurts from Nazareth- that's a goodie.

I like this one mellow song, but it's more of a punk style...and it's called "Hey Delilah" by the Plain White Tee's. If you have myspace you can hear it there. Hope you like it!
