I have no family to visit, my friends are out of town, and there is no current girlfriend.
I have a couple hundred bucks to spend. Thanksgiving is also my birthday.
I don't want to be at home alone. Where could I go?

feeding the homeless is nice, but I want to do something fun for my birthday.

most towns have thanksgiving dinners for people who are indigent, or have no one to celebrate with, check with a local Pastor to find out where they are, and go , it will give you a chance to broaden your horizons and you might make some new friend,

The first thing you can do on Thanksgiving day is to give thanks that you are not a Turkey! If you have some money, why not go to your church (or any church or synagogue) and see if they know of a needy family that can't afford to make a thanksgiving dinner. Make arrangements to have the dinner brought to their home and be with them. Another option may be to have the church get some people together who are poor and bring the food to the church and share this time with them. One thing I can guarantee you is that they will never forget you and the wonderful thing you did for them! What better way to spend the day and be with some people who truly appreciate what you did.

Hey, my birthday is on Thanksgiving, too. I would go somewhere fun like a resort or a spa and get a massage and just relax. Later, you could order room service or eat out at a place that serves Thanksgiving dinner.

I'm in the same situation (except it's not my birthday) and I was thinking I would see if the City Mission or one of the shelters or churches needed help serving thanksgiving dinners to local homeless and less fortunate people.

Honestly, I would volunteer to help serve dinner at a homeless shelter. You would be doing a good thing and maybe you'll give yourself the gift of being truly thankful for what you do have. Or you could go to the bar, but the first alternative would be my choice.

go and visit an elderly person who has no one either in the hospital, or perhaps in the children's ward or the babies ward, there are children who have no one. then you'll really give thanks that they are not you. That would be a great way to make someone's day and yours very special
