Get involved with your school's drama club and/or a local theatre group. Perhaps talk to you parents about acting lessons as a holiday or birthday gift. Most movie casting is done through talent agencies (there are occasional open calls, but not that many). Small-scale local theatre is a good way to get a start on building the resume of work that you'll need to have a chance at movie auditions later on.

Your parents will probably be more willing to take you acting seriously if you show them (through dedication to local theatre you may get involved in) that you are serious, then they might be more likely to help you look into getting an agent.

Try some of your local little theaters. Auditions for these are usually in your local newspaper in the art section. It will give you a small insight on what it take to audition at the local level. Then multiply that experience 1000 times for just small roles or even commercials at the national level. If you've seen American Idol you'll get the idea.
