on a notebook of some kids i watch there was a S symbol I'm not sure if it was gang related or had alternetive meaning , it looked like two rows of 3 dots each and the top one was connected to the middle bottom and the middle top to the right bottom and a v connecting the top and bottom ends.

I was standing in the office one day when a teacher brought in a paper that she was concerned about. We have an in-house officer so she showed it to him. He told her to photocopy it and he took the original.
My advice; if you are in doubt then at the very least photocopy it. Better yet, copy it and if you do not have an officer at school, pass it on to the principal. Because you do not really know for sure then you can let someone else decide. If it is nothing... wonderful! If it is something and you did nothing... not so good.
Lastly, you could flat out ask the kids. Sometimes they aren't so bright about talking. They may flat out tell you that they were just doodling... or that this is their "symbol." At least you can put your mind to rest.
