I have been to Spain several times. I can tell you outside of the large tourist areas like the Gran Via in Madrid, The Ramblas in Barcelona and a few other places almost nobody speaks English in Spain. Unlike northern European countries very few people in Spain speak a second language. When they do its usually French. If you need to find somebody in a pinch its a good bet to go into a tourist office or a camera shop. If you don't speak Spanish I can't imagine you getting a job in Spain.

In Spain, human beings older than 50 learnt French in college and extreme-college. in effortless terms some did learn English those days in a language college. All youthful human beings learn English in prevalent and secondary training yet that does no longer recommend that they are able to talk stable English. In France, Italy and Spain the understanding of English is fairly low in comparison to Germany, Holland or Sweden. in spite of the undeniable fact that, the poorest wisdom of remote places languages is in the united kingdom and eire.
