The Sims Installation Problem?

When I install the original Sims, it stops around 80% and a message comes up that says: "An error occured during the move data process:
-106. Component: Game Content. File Group: Game Content. File: sounddata.far.
Does anyone know what this means?
If so, do you know how to correct it? I can't NOT play this game anymore! HELP!

It means that a file called "sounddata.far" cannot be copied (CD to PC). To correct it, check the folder C:/Program Files/Maxis/Sims/ and look for that file, if it is there, then try to delete it. Reinstall. If it says that you can't delete it, then use deletion software such as RegToy (one of it's tools is SecureDeletE). RegToy requires .NET Framework 2.0 (it can be downloaded from Microsoft.com)
