They want to wipe them off the face of the earth because they are opposed to their prescence in the Middle East, also it gets the Arab world behind them, makes it look like they are standing up to the USA and Israel. Which is always popular in the region. As for isolation it means with trade, and diplomatic relations, but Iran has oil and everybody want that.

i will provide you with credits for righting the poor mistranslation on our area. because you communicate Farsi let us know ones without that understanding, what does Ahmedinejad want from the country? What does Ahmedinejad want from Israel? Are we to have self assurance that Iran's nuclear progression is purely for non violent applications? Are we to have self assurance Ahmedinejad because he's such an impressive fellow? ...replaced into it not accepted back contained in the Nineteen Sixties that taking on of the american embassy replaced into an open act of conflict? To invade yet another u . s .'s embassy is an same as invading that u . s . itself. that's if truth be told through the kindly benevolence that u . s . a . of america did not bypass to conflict because of that dastardly act.. Iran could thank Allah for that act of kindness on the area of the country. Iran could a thanks to plant wheat in it is barren area and prevent the stupid nonsense of turning right into a global nuclear power. Darius the great, Ahmdinajad isn't and is not likely so Iran could get right down to earthly truth and commence authentic friendship with international locations of the close to east and global huge.

Arabs have been enemies with Jews since time immemorial. Actually there is a LONG, LONG, LONG history of reasons they believe Israel should be destroyed, and in a format like this, it is nearly impossible to cover all the bases. But be assured it's not just Iran that feels that way. Some other Muslim countries may not be so vocal about it, but by and large there is general animosity toward Jews by Muslims, particularly by Arabic people, and most of it stems from (the way they see it) the illegal occupation of the land now called Israel, which was occupied by Arabic people for a very long time until Great Britain divided up the land in the area and Israel became its own nation. Iran, being a primarily Muslim, Arabic populated country, has much political and socio-religious interest in the destruction of Israel.
Unfortunately for the USA, Israel is the only true democracy in the region, and they are surrounded by millions of Arabs who want them dead. Bush took a gamble that he could make Iraq into a democracy and thereby bring more balnce to the Middle-East, but as we can plainly see now, it was a failed experiment. The Arabic people don't want the so-called freedom and democracy that Israel and America represent. They want order and subservience to Islam. And they want to be left alone to do it in the way they see fit. But we have to be the police of the world, don't we? We have to fix everyone else's problems, get our fingers in as many pies as we can...it's going to end up hurting us (and Israel) really bad.
By isolation he meant for other countries to cut off Iran from trade. Then they have to fend for themselves and can't depend on the imports of other countries to sustain itself, which a is a lot more difficult and expensive, especially in a country whose agriculture and natural resources are very limited (with the obvious exception of Oil). The official term is called embargo, and it does make countries re-evaluate their positions.

We are in end times and Iran, Iraq, all those countries are part of the Holy land. It's all being played working towards the One Goverment that's been predicted and the rise of the antichrist. Israel will never be wiped off the map because it is close to God's heart. Bush doesn't want Iran developing nuclear weapons and wants to cut them off from other nations so they can't bring in the needed supplies to make the bombs.

Not all of Iran wants to wipe Israel off the map. It is the present official position and it goes back to the decision of the world community after world war 2 to allow Israel to be formed, financed, given a military with modern weapons, establish US Air Force bases, and generally make it a nuisance to the middle east. The British advised everyone that this would not work, but they were overruled. As they were not welcomed, and they naturally chose to defend themselves, there has been violence there ever since, arriving at where we are today. The Israelis, armed to the teeth as they are by the United States, presumes to tell everyone in the area what they can and cannot do, including preemptive bombing of military and nuclear facilities they don't approve of, or should we say the US does not approve of. They are like a very large hornets nest to the Arabs, and many wish to exterminate them for being so. Of course this whole scenario is hopeless for the middle east, and very dangerous for the rest of us as it could massively explode on the world.
As the US is responsible for much of what has happened in Iran, and truth be told we probably participated in selling them the technology, it is rather hypocritcal for us to be demonizing them in any way, but, here we are. Now we are saying that we want to isolate their ability to acquire any more tech, as nobody needs any more "nucular" powers, but it appears Bush would like to isolate them from the rest of us. We all know how effective Bush's policies have been so far, from Iraq to North Korea, so I would be concerned about anything he offers for a solution. Isolation has never worked to solve problems, whether it is in a village or the world, but that is what he is proposing. Why do you suppose he is advocating this? Does he have ulterior motives? It does not work for peace. How many more enemies can we afford?

Iran does not believe Israel has a legal right to be a country. They want the country disbanded not the people slaughtered.
I do not know what he meant by isolation and I doubt whatever he has in mind would work anyway.

1) Their leaders are convinced that if they create Armageddon, it Will help usher in the messianic age.
2) Their (& many others) interpretation of the Koran is that Jews are evil. Theologically based antisemitism isn't the sole provence of Chritianity. Christians have moved out of the dark ages. Many Muslims have not.
3) I think a total embargo of trade & diplomatic contacts. Unfortunately, it won't be enough.
