It could be the soap/cleanser you use to wash your face doing this. Make sure to buy products specifically designed for dry skin.

Well, I have dermatitis on my face, mostly in the T zone area, creases of my nose, eye brows and chin. I was using cortisone 10 for a while, but the doctor said that cortisone thins out your skin cells over time if you condition is chronic. He wrote me a prescription for Elidel cream. This is a safe alternative to Cortisone and is used for infants skin. Also if it's just dry skin, try taking Biotin. this is a vitamin supplement.
These are great for hair skin and nails. Also, Eucerin lotion is the best for dry skin.
Use Dove soap, my dermatologist recommended that.

I'm wondering what you're washing your face with. You don't use a bar of soap. Buy a cleanser for dry skin and spend more money on a better facial cream for dry skin.

I clean my face with an organic tea tree oil cleaner, tone it with 100% witch hazel, rub on some tea tree oil, and then I use either jojoba oil or emu oil - a very, very thin layer - to moisturize. Doesn't clog the pores, and my face looks better than it has in years. It also got rid of the little bit of adult acne I had. I live in Phoenix so my skin dries out really quickly - the jojoba or emu oils keep my skin soft and lovely.

Most of the crap for sale out there is designed to fail - they want your skin to not get better so you keep buying more of their product. It's filled with chemicals, and you're paying for packaging. Get the oils - they're cheaper, they're natural, and they work better.

Hi longinlove,
Try using Extra Virgin oil sounds crazy but actually it works really well, can use on hands (put cotton gloves on & wear over night). Be sure you wash your face then use a mud mask & after use the oil. I saw this on Rachael Ray television & have been using it every since. Good luck & have a good day!

Drink more water if you don't drink a lot of water, and eat fruits that have a lot of vitamin c because they replenish your face.
