A "yes" answer, is insane or at least irrational. Is it illegal because doing so is potentially harmful? If that be the case other felonies would be drinking a shot of clorox, brushing your teeth with ajax, slamming your head into a wall or slappping yourself in the face. These are other examples of doing harm to yourself only they have an added element of insanity because they will probably make one feel bad instead of good. None of this stuff is illegal though. So then, is the determinant for a felony making yourself feel good?? By god, isn't that what most of us try to do all of our life?? Some by running, some by bingo, etc. Unfortunately, some people are cursed with brain chemistry that won't let them feel good without outside help, be it anti-depressants, alcohol or other drugs like alcohol. Funny how alcohol was the drug that was arbitrarily deemed legal, when it messes you up more than most drugs do (trust me). I can understand making the "pusher" a felon, but the user?

i take it that you are a pothead ???? your use and possession of drugs do effect me my family and anyone else that may be out on the street with you while you are high...drugs are also a major part in crime which also effects the everyday innocent person!it will also effect the person that you will steal from when you have no other way to pay for your habit and yes it will happen deny it now but it will it always does!

Yes it should. Yes the things you mentioned as not good for you but they have never caused someone ruin their life and being shunned by their family because they steal. Yes alcohol is legal and far too many families have been ruined because of it. But atleast it is regulated. Are illegal drugs regulated? People make meth with no idea what they are making using several chemicals that are poisions. If you recall alcohol was illegal at one time. Alcohol has several uses also for uses in other medicines and products. I have working in the medical field for several years and have seen people ruin their life with drugs legal and illegal. Like one of the answers said if you had no users you wouldn't have pushers. Then you also have the kingpins that would kill you for no reason. But if you want to use drugs you go right ahead and good luck with that.

without users there are no pushers.Without pushers there are no users.They are 2 parts of a whole and should betreated as a whole.
The immigartion crad for singapore says in bold type.Possession of drugs punishable by death.I am all for it

No, I don't think so. It shouldn't be a felony, it should be a misdemeanor. Dealing on the other hand, should be punishable by death, especially if it's heroin or crank.
