Can anybody explain why TomKat married in Italy and the Scientology ceremony not recognised???????

I guess Italy because its beautiful and romantic and they can afford it.
The thing about the Scientology ceremony is because its a "religion" that was created by a novelist whose job it was to make stuff up and perhaps while making things up he also made up a religion. Obviously, I don't know for certain that its all made up because its all about faith isn't it. But he was a novelist, you know, creating imaginary things... You get my point!

Scientology is not officially recognized as a religion in Italy. This was purely a romantic idea of the couple. If I had the money, I would love to have a wedding in one of those old Italian castles.
The marriage is not legal in Italy because they did not apply for a civil ceremony license and the Catholic church definitely does deem the marriage valid because Mr. Cruise is divorced. I think Ms. Holmes is in for a rude awakening when she learns more about this Scientology stuff. It is more of a mind control thing instead of a religion. I give the relationship about 5 years myself.

Sadly Tom Cruise has stopped being an actor and started being a celebrity. Sad because he's actually a very good actor. He's foolish because he has confused admiration for his acting with admiration for himself. As an individual he should keep his mouth shut and his profile low, because unless he is speaking lines other people have written, he's a disaster.
Where did Katy Holmes come from ? Is she an actress ? After two such gorgeous and intelligent women as Nicole Kidman and Penelope Cruz - why ?
Please don't answer, don't really care. Actors should act and then shut up.

Italy's a catholic country, but i don't think scientology marriage is recognised anywhere.

its all about getting into the lime light as far as i am concerned, its very sad that they feel they have to do that.
