(I'm a middle age man).
A man or young man should never say that to a woman. Few if any people have a clue as to what love is and it's virtually always a lie.
If you ever hear that, the odds are 99.9% that you should dump him like a hot potato.
If someone loves you, he doesn't have to say it. Also, if someone love you, he won't try to have sex outside of marriage.

Yeah...i am shallow ...i thought that was the password to get into a girls knickers.......and it works 96% of the time....please don't blame us guys its not our fault at some girls are gullible to fall for that old line

not me, because "love" means many different things to different people. What is love anyway, caring? lust? eagerness to please?
If I can live with someones foibles and they can live with mine, that's a good marriage. but it is love?
