I want REAL socialization. I've come to learn that the best relationships I've had, have been with people that I have met in other areas besides bars and the internet.
I want to meet someone REAL, not someone who can make up a story about themselves through words on a screen.
It's just been my experience, that I can't seem to find ANYONE, straight women, gay women, straight men, or gay men, who wants to date a female-to-male transsexual that still has the 'girly' bits. So where do you go to meet open minded, and INTELLIGENT people who UNDERSTAND the difference between sex and gender and feel that what's between a person's legs isn't as important as what's in their heart and between their ears?

I totally understand, Mad Scientist, but really, don't totally discredit the Internet. For every fifty idiots, sex hounds, and people I cannot communicate with because they must not have been educated past second grade, there is one person who absolutely makes my day.
I put up an ad to meet local FtM's on a Yahoo! group for such, and am currently talking to an awesome, mature, funny, interesting guy. I've gotten a lot of requests from people who need to be ignored, but there are some who you really should meet and get to know (in real life), as friends or dating material.
Now, I agree that the best place to meet people is in real life. The only thing I can think of is to frequent places where they're going to be: school GLBT clubs (especially at a university), TG/TS support groups, etc. I don't know where you live, but if you're really feeling high and dry in your community, a change of locale might be necessary. I wish it were easier.
Just know that there are a lot of people out there who are not only willing to date an FtM with all the 'girly bits', but very much want to (like me!). You wouldn't happen to be in California, would you . . . .?

Have you tried looking online for bars or clubs that cater to the transgender community,,, I would enjoy meeting a woman also, Im really tired of the sinle life
