What you are describing is a form of separation, a very sad form. But technically, separation means that the married couple live apart, live in separate locales.

I suppose it can... Although generally people who are seperated no longer reside in the same location.
It really depends on the state, each one is a little different. However, the general drift is that a married couple are no longer living together and do not intend to continue their relationship and are thus separating as a precursor to divorce.
Some states even require a trial separation before they will grant a divorce (or at least they used to it is probably somewhat different now).

Well some some. You can lived in the same house but in separate rooms. Also you have to notify a friend a lawyer or someone that you are not longer intimate because if you go to the court, the judge ask if you tell to someone to confirm, when the separation, but you can not sleep at the same bed.

No longer intimate, yes - but may still live together. Separation means that they are no longer working on the marriage but have not filed for divorce. That usually means one has moved out.

No because they might still want to be intimate with each other and by them living together there is nothing there to stop them. If they were once in love of course they will be intimate with each other at least once because that love is still going to be there and more than likely neither will come home with another partner if the other is at home or let the other know.

The definition of legal separation is different in every state.
It is usually a period of time where the couple
1. does not live together
2. is not intimate
3. can file a joint return if they want or a married filing separately
4. can contiue to own property as if they were married
All this state of being usually accomplishes is to provide a period of time where the couple can get together agin without getting remarried.
If some man or woman tells you they are separated, don't let that mislead you, they are married in the eyes of the law, just not sure they want to stay that way.

via the optimal kingdom i've got faith you mean the Celestial kingdom. There are additionally the Terrestrial and the Telestial kingdoms. i do no longer think marriage is even a call for to realize the Celestial kingdom. So there will be a great form of unmarried men and ladies in the Celestial kingdom. there will be a great form of guys who're married to purely one spouse. there will be some men who've extra suitable than one spouse. i'm hoping a number of my ancestors who practiced plural marriage can be there. i understand they tried to stay a solid existence and essentially enjoyed and enjoyed their better halves. there will be some men there who married in the temple, and that spouse died, and then married yet another woman in the temple, and the two women would be married to him in the Celestial kingdom. All people who inherit the Celestial kingdom will gain this by way of fact they found to obey all Celestial regulations. All people who learn how to obey Celestial regulations will inherit the Celestial kingdom. Now, as you element out, the form of married women will exceed the form of married men in the Celestial kingdom, yet that does no longer mean that the form of girls will exceed the form of guys in the Celestial kingdom. we've an thought that married men and ladies would be waiting to have babies and could consequently have a distinctive function in the Celestial kingdom than the singles. It stands to reason that there will be extra opportunities and reward for the married people. Why will extra women than men be exalted and characteristic those reward? i do no longer understand, different than to assert that extra women than men could have lived worth of it, and saved the covenants linked with those reward.

I guess that would be one way to look at it but, I always assumed that it meant they no longer lived together. I think the true meaning of separation is to officially break-up and move out but, they have not gotten the divorce yet.
