I will be going to court soon like in January and the last time that I went to court I felt so nervous. But How can I not be nervous to my stomach?

Hi lana B,

Try eating soda crackers before you go to court. And you didn't say why you needed to go to court but if this is a traffic ticket call & get a hearing officer that way you can explain what happened they usually reduce the fine. If it's a DWI or DUI your screwed, your insurance goes sky high, you pay impound charges, storage charge at the impound, court costs, need to take drivers dingy school, not to mention getting your license reinstated then there's a new license plates (if you have 1 or more) that shows the cops can pull you over for no reason except the you now have drunk plates on your auto. Family court for child support & all the other court nonsense. LQQk quit going to court that way no nervous stomach! Good luck & have a good day!

Judges are used to people being nervous, courts can be intimidating places. One suggestion, if you have the time, is to go spend a day or two at the courthouse prior to your case and watch what goes on. Sit in on a few cases and you'll become more comfortable with the process.

Quit doing things that require you to go to court.

Start by telling the judge, I feel terribly nervous, your Honor. Please bear with me.

If you plead guilty, say you are terribly sorry, you brought shame on your family and will never do such thing again. Please give the chance to prove it. I shall not let you down, your Honor.
